 Feb. 2015 News

February Fun……

 This month is filled with sweet fun. We will be celebrating Valentine’s Day; SWEETS and RED are the themes. Please look for sign up sheets on the front board. Kindly remember peanut free snacks only. All classes will be collecting Valentine cards. Please sign your child’s name (or have them do it) on the cards but do not address them. The teachers will distribute all of the cards into the bags.  Thank you to Cailyn and her mom for the ‘envelopes”.

President’s Day

 Since we follow the Great Meadow’s school calendar, there will be no PreK/Preschool classes on Friday, February 13th or Monday, February 16th. Liberty Learning Center will be open for… CHILD CARE ONLY!
Please sign up at the front desk if your child will be coming.

Pre-K News:

Pre-K conferences have been re-scheduled to the first week of February. Please check the day and time of your conference on the sign-up sheet.

Please continue working with your child on recognition of letters and numbers.

We will be working on Birthdays, addresses and especially Telephone numbers. Please review them at home.

We will be sending home some ‘homework’ every Tuesday. Please have your child return it on Wednesday.

Also, we will be sending home Curious George, and journal in a backpack. One child a night will take George home. Please write down a few things that George and your child did and we will share it with the class the next day.

Preschool News:

Our Preschoolers are doing very well and Miss Jenna is proud of their progress. The class is working on listening skills and they are doing a letter a week with wonderful projects! Good jobJ Please feel free to talk to Miss Jenna is you have any questions or concerns. Please be sure to check your child’s mailbox daily and look for some projects on the top of the cubbies.

If your child sleeps PLEASE remember to bring in a sheet and cover. The bedding should go home every Friday and come back on Monday.

Before and After School

Please let us know if you are satisfied with the children’s homework that is being done after school. If your child is not doing his/her homework and you would like us to insist they do, please let us know.

*Some reminders*

Please call the school if your child is going to be out for the day. We really need to know if your child will not be attending. Also, please do not send your child in if he/she has a fever or an upset stomach. We really are working on NOT sharing germs and there are plenty around!! 

There have been some “close calls “in our parking lot this year. Please, please, please be careful when you pull in or out. ALWAYS hold your child’s hand and NEVER let them run to your car. Also, leave room for other parents and PLEASE DO NOT BLOCK THE FRONT OF THE PARKING LOT WITH YOUR CARS!!!
