Jan. 2015 News

Happy 2015!

We hope everyone enjoyed the holidays with family and friends! Peter and I and all of our teachers want to thank you for the generous gifts, delicious treats and lunches and kind messages you shared with us. Also, for those of you who donated food and money to the Trinity Food Bank  we thank you on behalf of the church.

As it is with every New Year, we look forward to new beginnings. Our staff is hoping to work even closer with you to make sure we are doing everything possible to entice your child to love learning. We hope you will let us know if there is anything special we can do for your child. If you have ANY concerns, please do not hesitate to talk to Mary or any teacher. Peter is just an email away if you are confused about your invoice.  And as always we invite you to join us for a special book, snack, project or idea you might have for our children.

Please make a habit of keeping our newsletters and event calendars handy. We have a different calendar for each class – Preschool and Pre-K. (Orange for Preschool and Blue for Pre-K). They will be in your child’s mailbox and always at the front desk. If you do not get one, please ask for one so that you will know about special subjects we are covering that month. Our Before and After group will know about special days for” childcare only “from the monthly newsletters. Peter will send a newsletter along with your invoice each month. You can also view our newsletters on our website www.libertylearningcenter.com. Also remember to check our daily board.

Below please find some reminders for this upcoming year. We hope you will ask if there is anything you are unsure about.

  1. Every child needs to be signed in and out each day. The teachers should not be responsible for signing your child in or out and from now on they should not do so.*
  2. If you have trouble with your finger working on the check in computer, ask a teacher to help you. We can always re- enter you so that you can personally sign your child in.
  3. If your child is taking a nap, please send in a crib sheet, a cover and a lovey if needed. Also, please send back any sheets/blankets that you may have borrowed from LLC.
  4. You may have your child make up days that he or she has missed ONLY if it was a school day they missed. Child care only days, Holidays or Snow days are not school days.
  5. TOYS ARE NOT permitted at school! Please do not let children bring in toys from home unless they are “loveys” that they rest with or if it is a Show and Tell day.
  6. If your child has a fever, he or she must stay home for 24 hours after that fever breaks. No child will be allowed to stay at school with a fever or diarrhea . These are state rules.
  7. Your child’s immunization record should be up to date and each child under 5 years old MUST have a flu shot. If Mary does not have your record she will be in touch.

*Special Dates:

January 19: There will be no classes. Childcare- Only day.  Look for signups by the front desk.

January 26th, 27th and 28th: Pre-K conference meetings with Mrs. Hourihan for parents of children going to Kindergarten Sept. 2015.  Look for signups soon.
